For our littlest actors (3 – 4 years old)…

LITTLE FELLOWS classes are for kids to take independently. Care-givers are welcome to stay at the Playhouse, or drop off & pick up at the end of class!

STORY-TELLERS This session Little Fellows will be telling stories, creating books, diving into dramatic play and building on each others ideas.  Songs, movement and group games will engage every child and over the session they’ll build experience and confidence in their own creative voice.

For Students in grades K – 1st…

Creative Drama classes build skills, explore classic stories and themes, and create an original performances to share.  Imaginations, curiosity and sheer nonsense are put to good use as kids build confidence, storytelling muscles and collaborative capacities.

Thursdays 4:30 – 5:30pm
Saturdays 9:00 – 9:50am

JR. CIRCUS classes introduce balancing tricks, clowning, tumbling and through games, practice and creative play.  Explore, build skills and have fun!

For students in grades 2nd – 4th…

ACTING COMPANIES are a great opportunity for kids interested in acting and performance at any level of experience.  These companies focus on building acting skills, confidence and the ensemble.  Companies will work together this year to create an original play. Classes are Wednesday & Thursday 4:30 – 5:30 OR Saturdays 10:00 – 10:50am

CIRCUS ARTS classes teach clowns, jugglers and acrobats to build on their skills and learn new ones in this active, engaging class that focuses on perseverance and practice.

For students in grades 5th – 8th

IMPROV Ensemble  engages young actors in building skills and developing confidence on-stage and off. Focusing on working as a team, speaking up, trying new things and developing acting skills through improvisation, this 12 session workshop will culminate in an Improv Show. Kids can expect to have fun, surprise themselves, and make friends

ACTING THROUGH SONG Cabaret Workshop
The Cabaret Workshop is a perfect opportunity for performers of all skill levels to hone their singing and acting abilities! In this 12-week workshop, students will build a group-devised cabaret based on the songs of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Seussical, Anastasia, Ragtime, A Man of No Importance). Students will focus on the art of telling stories through song by looking at them first as monologues. The class is open to Junior (5th-8th grade) and Teen (9th-12th grade) students.
